He is survived by: his wife Brenda Richardson Spears; his sons, Lamar Spears of Hartwell and Tim Spears of Hartwell; his sisters, Barbara Thornton of Hartwell, Linda Gray (Hugh) of Hartwell, Brenda Owens of Hartwell, Susan Stowers (Ray) of Hartwell and Janet Whitfield (Chris) of Hartwell; his grandchildren, Valerie Carpenter (Michael), Makalyn Forbes (Preston) and Sydnee Spears; and his great grandchildren, Maddie Carpenter and Ellie Carpenter.
