He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Irvin and Mildred White Couey; his stepfather Bill Couey; and his siblings, James Couey, Paul Couey, Tommy Irvin, Linda Irvin and Danny Countryman.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jones Hicks Irwin of Hartwell; his stepsons, Roger Hicks (Amanda) and Donald Hicks, Jr. (Lori); and his siblings, John Graham, Emily Carroll, Elaine Davis, Cathy Stewart (Jeffery), Randy Irvin (Penny), Diane Chase (Sanford) and Dennis Countryman (Tanya).
