It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy W. Burden of Hartwell, Georgia, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Lander Burden and Lula Mae Jones Burden; his wife Lula Belle White Burden; his daughter-in-law Lynne Reed Burden; and his siblings, Buddy Burden, Beatrice McDaniel, Ella Mae Spears, Betty Lou Wooten and Frankie Fowler.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas W. Burden Jr. of Braselton, GA and Elizabeth "Beth" Kay (Doug) of Hartwell; his grandchildren, Jonathan Burden, Malorie Burden, Silas Kay, Piper Kay, Trinity Kay, Hubble Kay, Judge Kay and Levi Kay; and his great grandchildren, Ellis and Rosemary Burden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hart Interdenominational Ministries, Food Pantry, P.O. Box 21, Hartwell, GA 30643.
