He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Chappale Dickerson and Ethel Brown Dickerson; and his sister Mary Kate Boggs. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Dickerson; his children, Kenny Dickerson (Melanie) of Hartwell, GA. and Mitzi Isom (Daryl) of Hartwell; his grandchildren, Caleb Dickerson (Alanis), Abigail Dickerson, Tyler Williams and Emilee Williams; and his great grandchild Liam Dickerson.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or American Cancer Society.
