He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carl Freeman and Faith Jewell Hunter Freeman; and his siblings, Henry Freeman, Harold Freeman, Dan Freeman, Bill Freeman, Reese Freeman, Amy Cantrell and Barbara Freeman.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Standridge Freeman of Hartwell; his daughters, Faith Freeman of Hartwell and Amy Freeman Mize of Hartwell; his sisters, Mae Beebe of Hartwell and Lena McCollum of Starr, SC; and his granddaughters, Abigail and Anna Mize.

In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
