It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Underwood Bowers of Hartwell, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on August 18, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Iverson Underwood Sr. and Mary Henley Underwood. She is survived by: her husband Stephen W. Bowers; her sons, Corbin J. Bowers (Avory) of Charleston, WV and Austin C. Bowers (Lynsie) of Greenville, SC; her grandchildren, Canaan Bowers, Molly Bowers and Memphis Bowers; and her siblings, Emmett I. Underwood of Douglasville, GA and Brenda Faye Conner of Douglasville, GA..
