He was predeceased by: his father Mack Linder Thornton; and his nephew Jadakeis Elijah Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Earnestine Thornton; his sons, Corwin Stevan Phelps (Shamaya) and Donovan Josiah Thornton; and his siblings, Tony Jerome Thornton, Jill Helena Thornton, Tameka Denise Thornton and Andrea Jeannean Thornton. He is also survived by two grandchildren; one goddaughter; a host of nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mack's Funeral Home, Hartwell Chapel (266 Maple St, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Luke C. M. E. Church - Hartwell. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Cedar Spring Baptist Church (995 Bowman Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643).
