She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walter Vickery and Mattie Hembree Vickery; her husband Francis Lee Gaines; her brother James Vickery; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Gaines.
She is survived by: her sons, Joel Gaines (Rachel) and Billy Ray Gaines; and her brother Bobby Ray Vickery (Carolyn) of Hartwell, GA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
