He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Carnell Veal and Margaret Farmer Veal; his stepson Chandler Dale Teasley; and his grandson Brad Eavenson. He is survived by: his wife Jane Lewis Teasley Veal; his children, Rev. Richard N. Veal (Robin) of Williamson, GA, Judy V. Eavenson (Mike) of Elberton and Sandra Teasley Leard of Bowman; his siblings, Robert Veal (Diane) of Elberton and Sara Ellen Ruff of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Ryan Veal (Amy) and Hannah Williams (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Brayden Eavenson, Landon Williams, Emily Kate Veal, Ava Grace Veal, Bradley Williams and Bodie Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2973 Mt. Olivet Rd, Hartwell, GA 30643.
