He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Thomas Heaton and Olivia Ford Heaton; his wife Mary Kathryn Wilson Heaton; his son Christopher Heaton; his grandsons, Chandler Ford Brown and Robert Thomas "Tad" Brown; and his siblings, Margaret Miller, Joe Heaton, Billy Heaton, Burkley Heaton and Hugh Frank Heaton.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Heaton Brown (Robert) of Atlanta and Kevin R. Heaton (Jennifer) of Hartwell; his siblings, Paul Heaton (Marietta) of Riverside, CA and Elizabeth Moore of Hartwell; his grandchildren, Sydney Brown, Griffin Brown, Heather Heaton, Max Heaton, Sam Heaton, Aereyona Heaton, Olivia Heaton and Aleesha Heaton; and his great grandchild Mary Katherine Heaton. He is also survived by his family and friends.
