She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe B. Sanders and Ruth Herring Sanders; her husband J. L. Herring; and her siblings, Charles, Franklin Sanders and Callie Sue Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Herring (Pat) of Albemarle, NC, Bobby Herring (Carol) of Greer, SC and Wanda Goldsmith of Hartwell; her sister Peggy Adams of Doraville, GA; and her grandchildren, Brian Herring, Kevin Herring, Grant Herring, Neal Herring, Christy Brown, Kelly Carey and Dustin Goldsmith. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
