She was predeceased by: her parents, E. C. "Buddy" Thurman and June Bright Thurman. She is survived by: her husband Sam Maddox of Stone Mountain; her daughters, Kim Queen (Ryan) of Monroe and Erin Martin (Philip) of Gainesville; her brother E. C. "Butch" Thurman (Kay); and her granddaughter Braelyn Queen.
