He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Harley Franklin and Edith Gilliam Franklin; and his brother Billy Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Carol Menendez Franklin; his children, Christopher "Chris" Franklin (Jamie) and Kimberly Carter (Clint) of Hartwell; and his grandchildren, Ella Franklin, Natalie Carter, Crew Franklin, Bentley Carter and Fynlie Franklin.
