She was predeceased by: her parents, James Whitfield and Selma Rowland Whitfield; her daughter Nancy Rushing; and her brother Edward Whitfield. She is survived by: her children, Chastity Boles of Hartwell, Gloria Shelnut of Hartwell and James Earl Evans of Hartwell. She is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
