It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Herring Chapman (Hartwell, Georgia), who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pelzer Herring and Meddie Vickery Herring; her husband Harold Chapman; and her son Terrell Chapman. She is survived by: her daughters, Norma Roebuck of Ellijay, GA and Gail Sanders (Keith) of Pensacola, FL; and her daughter-in-law Sarah Chapman Stalvey of Hartwell. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell St, Hartwell, GA 30643 and Sardis Baptist Church, 4359 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
