He was predeceased by: his father Luther Julius Evans Sr.; his son Anthony Evans; his grandson Josh Evans; and his sister Evelyn Patterson. He is survived by: his mother Clessie Ellenburg Evans; his close friend Ruth Shirley; his sons, Scotty Evans of Seneca and Mark Evans of Seneca; his brother Kenneth Evans of Rock Hill; his brother-in-law Bo Patterson; and his sister Carol Holland of Seneca. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
