She was predeceased by: her parents, Artis Mattox and Susie Starks Mattox; her husband Hubert Burton; and her children, Ivory Burton, Artis Burton and Stanley Burton.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Burton, Sue Joyce Burton and Denise Hardmon; and her sister Ruby Nell Eberhardt. She is also survived by Forty five grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
