He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph B. Clark and Laura Lee Gaines Clark; and his pet Bitsy. He is survived by: his close friend Willie Glenn; his children, Tracey Clark of Spartanburg, SC, Kathleen Newman (Stergen) of Elberton, GA, Joseph Clark and Katina Roebuck (Adrian) of Hartwell, GA.; his siblings, Billy Clark (Gloria) of Hartwell, GA., Lillie Ravenell (Richard) of Hartwell, GA. and Jeannette Orsley of Hartwell, GA.; and his grandchildren, Je'shun Barnes, Wykeia Clark, Avery Newman, Jordyn Newman, Madisyn Newman, Joseph Clark, Jr., Shuntel Campbell, Glory Clark and O'Brian Evans. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step grandchildren, cousins and friends.
