He was predeceased by: his parents, George Burns and Mary Madge Bowers Burns. He is survived by: his wife Connie McCurley Burns; his daughters, Lynne B. Sewell of Athens and Janet B. Cleveland of Hartwell; his sisters, Margaret Craft (Pete) of Hartwell and Mary Montgomery (Jimmy) of Starr, SC; his sister-in-law Modena Fleming; his grandchildren, Jennifer Sewell, Tanner Cleveland (Taylor) and Nolan Cleveland; and his great grandchild Olivia Cleveland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
