We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2020, at the age of 85, Jeanette Wheeler Powell of Hartwell, Georgia, born in Maysville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Christian Wheeler and Vera Vinson Perry Wheeler; and her husband Robert Harold Powell. She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Getman of Hartwell, GA and Melissa Powell Weill of Morehead, KY; her siblings, Charles Wesley Wheeler of Nicholson, GA and Barbara McDonald of Malvern, PA; and her grandchildren, Cheryl Craft of Hartwell, Julie Getman of Bethlehem, GA, Pamela Getman of Statham, GA, Lily Letnick of Centreville, VA, Daisy Weill of Washington, DC, Rose Sullivan of Boston, MA and Jason Kelley of Hartwell. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
The family request that friends wear a mask and practice social distancing during the visitation and graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
