He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Crump and Louisa Brown Crump; and his siblings, Constance "Connie" Sims, Robert Crump and Ulysses "Lessy" Crump.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Stowers; his children, James II and Freader Yvette; his siblings, Katherine Bolling (Sam), Charles (Susie Robinson), Spencer (Barbara), Ernest, Joseph and Aaron (Shelia); and his siblings-in-law, Estelle Crump, Jeanette Tyler (John), Alma Jean Boggs (Robert Lee), Mary Frances Stowers, Juanita Brown (Sylvester), Shirley Simpson, Ollie Bell Jordan, LaJoyce Parker, Lorenzo Stowers, Jr. and Tommy D. Stowers (Vickie). He is also survived by relatives and his friends.
