He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Leroy Chastine and Nellie Marcella Isabella Chastine; his wife Judy Ann Chastine; his daughter Marcy James; his granddaughter Megan James; his brothers, Frank Leo Chastine and Wayne Chastine; and his half-brother Walter Bailey "Buddy" Spence.
He is survived by: his son John Chastine (Robyn) of Hartwell; his brother Henry Joe Chastine (Linda) of Stockbridge; and his grandchildren, Michael Chastine (Heather) of Hartwell, Patrick Chastine of Jacksonville, FL., Colby Brown, Zackary Oliver and Elijay.
