He was predeceased by: his father Farris Edward Bowers; and his niece Carolyn McClain Bowers. He is survived by: his mother Nora Christine Maddox Bowers of Hartwell; his children, Ryan Carter of Anderson, SC, Donald Bowers of Hartwell, Faith Bowers of Charleston, SC and Harley Charles (Katie) of Ware Shoals, SC; his significant other Brenda Bowers; and his brothers, Dwain Bowers (Karen) of Hartwell, Stephen Bowers (Wanda) of Anderson, SC and Nathan Bowers (Donna) of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
