She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sassi and Frances Fontana Sassi; her husband John Warren Mixon, Jr.; and her siblings, Marguerite Theresa Sassi Smith (Ben), Lena Adele Sassi and Hugh Sassi.
She is survived by: her niece Carole Smith Coggins of Elberton, GA; her children, Charles Thomas Mixon of Milledgeville, GA and Pamela Margaret Hardwick of Alabaster, AL; and her grandchildren, Christopher Warren Dixon of Chelsea, AL and Jennifer Lee Dixon of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
