It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Cawthorn (Hartwell, Georgia), born in Elm Springs, Arkansas, who passed away on July 31, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Cawthorn and Elsie Mustain Cawthorn; his wife Ginger Johnson Cawthorn; and his siblings, Robert F. Cawthorn, Louise Fleming and Eudora Haydon.

He is survived by: his sons, Todd Cawthorn (Ashlee) of Dallas, TX, Marc Cawthorn (Stacia) of Hartwell and Matt Cawthorn of Hartwell; and his grandsons, Jacob Cawthorn, Cameron Cawthorn and Evan Cawthorn.

“So sorry to hear about Ed, I was in the Georgia Army National guard with Ed, the 159th Aerial Surveillance Company at Fulton County Airport back in the 60's and 70's. Took my first ride in a Army Bird-Dog airplane with Ed, he could fly that plane like nobodies business. My sincere condolences to his family. David Childs Lawrenceville Ga.”
