He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ramsey and Mary Francis Burton Brown; his son Gerald Ramsey; his siblings, Mary Ann Brown, James Link, John Thomas Brown, Martha Butch and Shirley Brown; and his stepfather Julius C. Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Walker Ramsey; his children, Alma Maxwell (Pebbles) of Royston, Doris Blackwell of Cornelia, Shelia McIntosh of Hartwell, Vickie Oglesby (David) of Royston, Timothy Walker, Shekima Walker and Demetric Edwards of Mississippi; his daughter-in-law Potasha Ramsey; his siblings, Clara Louise Drinkard, Sally Bush and Joseph Brown; and his grandson Gilbert Gray Jr.. He is also survived by five aunts and two uncles, a host of Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
