He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Charles Higgins Sr. and Leslie Ross Higgins (DeFir); his former wife Cherry Maye Holliday Higgins; and his wife Myrtle Ann Godfrey Higgins. He is survived by: his children, Holly Caswell (Jerry) of Hartwell and Chad C. Higgins (Dell) of Columbia, MO; and his grandchildren, Jesse Ross Caswell, Alex Higgins (Hannah), Louis Higgins and John Ross Higgins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church Bowers Fund or to H.I.M., 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
