He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Heard and Leana Heard; his wife Mildred Heard; his sons, Charles Edward, Roger and Jerome Heard; and his siblings, Swanson, Gladys, James, Harry, Hattee and Matthew.
He is survived by: his daughter Cherry Heard-Mattox (Tron) of Hartwell, GA; his daughters-in-law, Gloria Heard of Hartwell, GA and Min; his grandchildren, Chucky Smoot, Charvone Heard, Tyckeda Wells, Desirae Winnie, Lance Heard, Tawanda Smith, J'Sonn Heard, Na'Vy Clark, Nas Clark, I'Vy Mattox, Reco Mattox, Kadien, Trontaveous, Zykevious, Alaya and Alicia Mattox; his sisters, Sallie Mae Cunningham, Fannie Sue Byrd and Joyce Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Rosa Tucker, Mattie Blackwell, Della Smith, Gerolene Sheller and Melinda Blackwell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
