It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Rowland Skelton of Hartwell, Georgia, who passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymond Rowland and Annie Laura Snow Rowland; and her siblings, Robert Roland, Oscar Rowland and Flora Rowland Risner.

She is survived by: her husband William Bondsie Skelton; her daughter Laurie S. Tipton (Bryant) of Hartwell; and her grandchildren, Ty Tipton of Hartwell and Anna Tipton of Hartwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 754, Hartwell, GA 30643.
