She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeptha P. Atkinson and Mallie Stribling Atkinson; her son J. Lee Barton; and her brother James Atkinson. She is survived by: her daughter Lynn; her children-in-law, William Pruitt and Kim Lashway Barton; her brother Ben; her sister-in-law Chris Atkinson; her sister Martha Sue Goodroe; and her grandchildren, R. Lee, Kim Guarnella, Patrick, Keri Guarnella, Catherine, Derrick Lawrie, Elizabeth, Bair and Griffin Barton. She is also survived by eleven Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Hart County High School Golf Teams, 59 Fifth Street, Hartwell, GA.
