It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean (Bucher) Peterson of Hartwell, Georgia, who passed away on July 2, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Bucher and Ruth Bucher (Summerville); her husband Jerry Lee Peterson; and her sister Kay Bucher Earl. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Jane Peterson and Nancy J. Smallwood (Michael); her grandchildren, Andrew Smallwood (Sarah), Nathan Smallwood and Brantley Smallwood (Samantha); and her sisters, Anne Marie Bray, Betty Winklepleck (Jonas) and Patty Hartzburg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
