He was predeceased by: his parents, Merdi Columbus Bucker and Elsie Emmaline Watson Buckner; his siblings, Luke Buckner, Sr., Truman Buckner, Shorty Buckner, Joe Buckner, Mayella Greene and Ivella Flowers; and his son-in-law Edwin Merritt.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Leon Buckner (Donna) of Hartsfield and Ima Jean Merritt of Hartsfield; his stepchildren, Michelle Gomez Castaneda (Frankie) and Wayne Bullard; his siblings, Gene Buckner (Winifred) and Phyllis Black (Bill); and his former wife Brenda Bullard. He is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
