He was predeceased by: his parents, Knox Knox and Sadie Simmons Knox; his son-in-law Will Connelly; and his siblings, Charles Knox, Sue Tucker (Wanzie) and June Alligood.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Williams Knox; his children, Holly Knox Connelly and Scotty Eugene Knox; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Connelly Hembree (Charleston) and James William Connelly IV; his pet Angel; his siblings, Mary King (Raymond) and James Knox (Susie); his siblings-in-law, Wanda Knox and Dennis Alligood; and also Rosa Pacheco. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
