Ed Broom Obituary

The passing of Ed Broom of Harrison, Georgia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 31, 2025 at the age of 86. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Carl and Johnnie Carlock Broom; and his brother Terry Broom. He is survived by: his wife Anna Broom; his sons, Vernon Dale Broom (Rebecca Elaine) and Gregory Dion Broom (Vikki Renee); his grandchildren, Michael Vernon Broom, Cara Dionna Broom, Megan Broom Sada (Kyle) and Emily Broom; his great grandchildren, Emaleigh Broom and Jaden Shields; his brother Melvin Broom (Debbie); his niece Amanda; and his nephew Greg Broom. He is also survived by great-niece and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742).
