He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Naomi Knoeferl; his parents, William "Bud" G. and Helen Knoeferl, II; and his brother Jim Knoeferl. He is survived by: his children, Priscilla Taveras (Danny), Christopher Knoeferl (Judy), Matthew Knoeferl (Tracy) and Bradley Knoeferl (Denise); his sister Cindy Groene (Bob); his grandchildren, Tanner Maynard (Rebecca), Neal Knoeferl (Hillary), Brandon Maynard (Tiffany), Dakota Knoeferl, Garrett Knoeferl, Hailey Knoeferl, Harlee Knoeferl, Delaney Knoeferl and Kaylee Knoeferl; and his great grandchildren, Anna Leigh Knoeferl, Jackson Knoeferl, Madison Knoeferl, Kaden Vaughn and Teagan Maynard.
