She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Mae Johnson Roberts and Robert Morrell; her stepfather Paul Roberts; her son Jerry Wilkerson, Jr.; her great grandchild Aiden King; and her sisters, Annette Annis and Brenda McCannon.
She is survived by: her husband Monte Smith; her children, Karen Frerichs (Willie) of Lithia Springs, Keith Jones of Alabama, Rita Johnson (Kenny) of Sparta and Patrick Wilkerson (Robin) of Milledgeville; and her daughter-in-law Denise Wilkerson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren.
