He is survived by: his mother Carol Dowdy; his wife Patricia Fairfax; his children, Dennis Edward Paulk, Patrick Ethan Fairfax, Amy Marie Hannah, Virginia Nichole Fairfax and Chelsea Ann Johnson; his sister Kimberly Jo Slater; and his stepsister Valerie Michelle Dowdy. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
