He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hood Simpson and Ellen Faulkner Simpson; and his wife Margaret Acker Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Darlene "Faith" Bandre, Deborah "Debi" Mangham, Thomas "Tom" Simpson and Donald "Tim" Simpson (Johnna); and his siblings, Eleanor Griffin Ellis, Helen Reed and Claude Simpson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
