With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Rayford Rooks Sr. (Haralson, Georgia), who passed away on March 19, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Rooks, Sr. (Mary Ophelia Phillips Rooks) and James. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy, Mary Annette and Tommy (Beverly); his granddaughters, Adrianna Atkinson (Michael Fede) and Sarah; his sister Shirley Mahurin; his wife Andrewlene; his granddaughter Rochelle Eaton; and his siblings, Melba, Charles and Thomas. He is also survived by great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
