She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gunnels and Florence Pelt Gunnels; her husband John Hampton Mattox; and her children, Steven Mattox, Cheryl Mattox and James Mattox.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Darwiche, Jeff Mattox, Joel Mattox, Melissa Mattox, Jay Mattox, Jason and Jada Mattox; her grandchildren, Jolie, Kevin Jones, Jessica, Luke Wheeler, Tabitha, Jordan Mattox, JonCohen and Tamara Mattox; her great grandchildren, Eccoe Jones, Azaria Jones, Zhevyn Jones and Ava Wheeler; and her sister-in-law Loretta Gunnels. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
