He is survived by: his children, Cassandra Prater (Quinton) of Hampton and Patrick Blanton of Griffin; his grandchildren, Quinton Prater, Jr., Laila Thomas, Tyquavious Blanton, Jordan Blanton and Zarriah Blanton; and his siblings, David Matthews, Ricky Matthews, Patricia Matthews, Gladys Matthews, Darlene Matthews, Velma Brantley, Robin Matthews and Ann Guider.
