She was predeceased by: her parents, Aquila B. King, Jr. and Voncyle King (Ivie); and her siblings, Patricia Weldon, Voncyle Hill and Jimmy King.
She is survived by: her husband Darius Hawn; her son Garrett Kirkland, Jr. of Hampton; her siblings, A. B. King, III (Nancy) of Jacksonville, AL, Tom King (Kim) of Morganton, GA and Becki Fields (Anson) of Macon; and her grandchildren, Shea Kirkland and Garrett Kirkland, III. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
