He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Benson and Gertrude Benson; and his wife Deborah Dobbs. He is survived by: his sister Mary Beth Davis of Fayetteville; his nephew Adam Smith of Marietta; his cousin Carol Frisbie of Union City; his close friends, Pat and Gene Hussey; and also Kim Beck of Concord.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Noah's Ark Church (2952 Noahs Ark Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30236).
