He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Vernon Mercer and Georgie Bevill Mercer; his wife June Ellen Mercer; and his great-grandparent Mary Ellen Lanier. He is survived by: his daughter Tonya Mercer-Gilbert (James); his granddaughter Cassandra Goulden; and his great grandchildren, Dantravious Taylor, Ty and Asia Trammell.
