He is survived by: his wife Joann Queen Nichols; his children, Mike (Donna Nichols), Richard Nichols, Cynthia Nichols Vititoe, Steve Nichols, Eddie Nichols, Freddie Nichols and Jeanie (Jimmy Garrett); and his sister Diane Whitlock. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.
