It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Ellen Summers of Hampton, Georgia, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Erskine Cook and Ruby Nelson Cook; her husband Julian E. Summers, Jr. (Bunky); and her son Kelly Summers. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Julie Lee (Doug Haynes), Suzanne Elder (Tim), Phillip Summers, Patti Yates (Chris) and Lisa Shlapak (Jeff); her grandchildren, Summers LaFerriere (Nick), Jessica Yates (Josh Hicks), Audrey Shlapak, Graves Lee, Steven Shlapak, Andrew Shlapak and Sammy Shlapak; her great grandchildren, Holly Hicks and Jack LaFerriere; her sister Elisha Wilson; and her sister-in-law Sally Chapman.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patricia Summers' memory to McDonough Road Baptist Church.
