He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Tai and Ambrozine Tai; his stepson Courtney; and his brothers, Cecil, Asha and Lin.
He is survived by: his wife Verona; his daughters, Fay Blair, Carlene Wong Robinson (Michael), Sharron Howe Williams (Patrick) and Maxine Tai-Greaves (Tyrone); and his sister Francella Tai Williams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
