It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Lamar Matthews of Hampton, Georgia, born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on July 5, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lavonda Reid. He is survived by: his children, Michael Matthews and Alicia Matthews; his stepdaughter Kristie French; his brother Randy Murray (Tina); and his grandchildren, Noah Matthews, Hannah McClaine, Bethany McClaine and Dylan McClain. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
