He was predeceased by: his parents, Burel Dewitt Forrester, Sr. and Virginia Church Forrester. He is survived by: his wife Denise McLarty Forrester; his son Christopher Leland Ellis; and his sisters, Donna Rector (Jim) and Jane Taylor (Frankie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
