It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Samuel Sowell MD of Hampton, Georgia, born in Macon, Georgia, who passed away on July 13, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father John Broadus; his daughter Julie Stilwell; his grandson Jeffory Glenn Stilwell; his stepson Henry McCullough Colvin, III; and his siblings, Louise Sharpe and John Sowell.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Sowell of Hampton; and his children, Libby Hoenig of Roswell, Susan Delisle (Abbey) of Aberdeen, OH, David Sowell, Jr. (Cindy) of Newnan, Jenny Waits (Ronnie) of Acworth, Patrick Kelly Sowell (Sarah) of McDonough, Brandy Cook (Barry) of Hampton and Marlene Sowell of Barnesville. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Praying 4 Paws Dog Rescue, the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnels and Towers in memory of Dr. David Sowell.
